Academics
College isn't meant to be experienced from the sidelines. It's about being a leader. Making an impact. Having meaningful relationships in the classroom and beyond.
At BW, we'll teach you to challenge yourself to solve tough problems and brainstorm innovative ideas. You'll have the confidence to lead meetings. Write articulately and persuasively. Pursue top internships and opportunities. And dream bigger than you ever thought possible.
Maybe you already have a dream job in mind. Or maybe your idea stream is endless. Whichever the case, Baldwin Wallace challenges you to go big. Aim for a premier graduate school and job that says to the world, "I've arrived."
Faculty Who Put You First
Your goals aren't yours alone. At BW, we listen and share in helping you turn aspirations into achievement. Faculty-student mentoring is at the heart of our academic program. You'll learn from professors - not graduate students. Our 11:1 student-to-faculty ratio means professors know you by name and face.
BW faculty are scholars, former CEOs, health practitioners, politicians, artists, psychologists, scientists and composers. They bring impressive academic credentials into the classroom, as well as real-world skills and networking connections.
Engage and Excel
You'll learn in the classroom. Then take that knowledge out into the world. And then switch it up by bringing your newfound insights back into classroom to share with others. That's what makes experiential learning so meaningful and compelling. It's always relevant and enriching to your studies.
At BW, every student engages in hands-on learning through opportunities that can include internships, study abroad, research, service learning, leadership development and more. Through these initiatives, you may work alongside a professor doing complex research, journey overseas to experience cultural assimilation firsthand, study the local effects of inner-city poverty or intern at a multinational company.
A Program for Every Passion
No matter what your aspiration or interest, BW has opportunities for you to pursue your passion. Complementing the strength of our core curriculum and more than 85 undergraduate programs of study are enriching programs that provide meaningful educational opportunities.
Among examples, the honors program is a community of scholars dedicated to academic excellence, leadership development and community engagement. The STEM scholars program prepares students for careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics by providing them with exceptional hands-on learning experiences and mentoring.
